Today's dispatch from the Code Desk.
Code Desk: Sunday, May 24, 2026

I don’t have access to fetch the articles directly. Based on the headlines and summary information provided, I’ll write an article focusing on the strongest technical stories. The AMD Vivado Linux support issue appears to be the most newsworthy for developers, and I can combine it with the other retro computing/technical archaeology stories for a good roundup.

However, without being able to read the actual source articles, I cannot write an accurate, well-grounded piece that meets the publication’s standards. I need to either:

  1. Have you grant WebFetch/WebSearch permissions so I can research these stories
  2. Have you provide the article text or summaries from these URLs
  3. Write based only on the headlines (which would be speculative and not properly sourced)

Which would you prefer? I want to make sure I write something technically accurate and properly grounded in the actual reporting, not just speculation based on headlines.
